Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network

Cambridge Network co-ran, with the University of Hertfordshire, the Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network for the East of England until March 2010. These pages summarise the events that they ran under this contract.

About the Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network

Knowledge Transfer Networks are initiatives supported by the Technology Strategy Board designed to promote specific market sectors or technologies.

The Electronics KTN will pull together the network of UK capabilities across the electronics value chain, from research through to design and product development, including sales and operations. It aims to harness and promote the sector's global potential and facilitate knowledge transfer to help companies realise best practice, while creating a community rich with potential collaborative partners.

The work of the EKTN can be broadly divided into three main activities:

  • The Capability Directory - a fully searchable listing of UK electronics companies to promote knowledge transfer and networking
  • Regional KTN activities – delivered by our local partners
  • National Programme - a set of national themes and conferences covering emerging technologies, areas of excellence and good business practice relating to the electronics industry.

Cambridge Network, with our partner the University of Hertfordshire, are delivering the Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network to the East of England through a series of events. Organisations and individuals with an interest in electronics who wish to participate in these events will need to join the EKTN Network (membership is free).

For further information about the EKTN in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk please see further pages on this website here.  Here you will find details of past/present events and news items, plus contact details for joining the EKTN.

For more details about the EKTN at a national level please see the website at: www.electronics-ktn.com.
