The Cambridge Corporate Gateway offers a programme of customised meetings with leading University researchers and new technology companies in Cambridge, UK - providing you with an insight into the latest innovations and business opportunities.

Cambridge is synonymous with innovation. It is home to a University with a world-class record in scientific discovery and to the most vibrant cluster of high-tech and biotech companies in Europe. This unique mix of academic expertise and technology innovation, known as the 'Cambridge Phenomenon', is driving the development of breakthrough technologies and applications that are changing our world.

This event, organised jointly with the University of Cambridge and takes place twice a year, the next date is:

                                                                    13th - 15th October 2008

From 'long lists' of Cambridge Network member organisations the delegates select those with whom they wish Corporate Gateway Delegates April 2008to take one-to-one meetings during their two and half day stay in Cambridge.

Outcomes from Cambridge Corporate Gateway include trading and investment deals as well as the initiation of the process to set up new corporate research centres in our region.

         The delegates for April 2008 were Siemens, Sanyo Electric, Smith & Nephew, Giesecke & Devrient, Google, Rohde & Schwarz, De La Rue International Dow Chemical and WL Gore 

The Corporate Gateway process has been described by delegates as 'gruelling' 'exhilarating' and 'most worthwhile'. Technology talent-spotters and corporate venturers from over 100 companies including: Boeing, Kodak, Qualcomm, Apple, IBM, Samsung, Smith and Nephew, GSK, Avantium, WL Gore, Siemens and BASF have participated since the formula was launched in 2001.
