Alimentum is a 3 AA Rosette rated restaurant and is the multi-award winning home of affordable fine-dining in Cambridge.  

Alimentum was recently voted runner up in the prestigious Observer Food Monthly Best Restaurant Awards 2009 - alongside Heston's Fat Duck.  In March 2009 Alimentum was voted one of the top 10 most romantic restaurants in the UK by diners of the market-leading online reservations portal toptable.com. The restaurant is the winner of the 2008 Innovation Award in the RSPCA Good Business Awards and was voted one of the top 10 restaurants in the UK by Tracey Macleod of The Independent in 2007.

In business as in life, actions speak louder than words, which is why we take pride in turning our values and vision into real world practices.  All farms are local and are visited personally so the animal welfare standards can be seen first hand, as well as assessing the farms policy on the use of antibiotics and their attitude to GM animal feed.

Sustainability is paramount, from the fish we use to the paper for our menus, with only the most energy efficient equipment used throughout, and hydro carbon refrigeration to reduce the amount of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere. Our grease guardian collects our used oil which is turned into bio fuels, and a policy of reduce, re-use and recycle resonates throughout.
