![]() Cambridge Leaders AcademyThe Cambridge Leaders Academy (CLA) is a peer learning group for Cambridge CEO’s with the overall aim of raising the performance of Cambridge business leadership to equal or surpass its reputation for technology.
Main contacts: In a world of continuous and often unpredictable change, effective leadership demands continuous learning. But how best can CEO’s and Business Unit heads with P&L responsibility learn - and who from?
Alongside learning from academic research, a vital resource is the experience of leading in practice. While the authority of personal experience will always be of primary value, hot on its heels comes learning from the relevant experience of appropriate others. How can Cambridge CEO’s and Business Unit heads find appropriate leadership learning peers and engage with them effectively and efficiently? This is the need that the not-for-profit Cambridge Leaders Academy exists to address.
Who we are The CLA is a not-for-profit entity set up by Cambridge businesses for Cambridge businesses. It operates in the same spirit as, and in association with, The Learning Collaboration, Cambridge Business Lectures and the Cambridge Network. The CLA programme features ten meetings spread throughout the year. Four meetings will feature visiting world-class thought leaders sharing perspective-changing insights in interactive dialogue with members, hosted by member companies. Four meetings will feature ‘learning journey’ visits to observe first-hand how leading organisations and teams achieve great results. The remaining two meetings will be in the form of retreats, providing members with opportunities to broaden and deepen their leadership skills through reflection and shared learning experiences. CLA members will gain valuable insights and experience by interacting with peers, thought-leaders and practitioners in contexts specifically tailored to maximise mutual learning from the experience within and beyond the room. Membership of CLA is on an invitation-only basis and is reserved for CEO’s and Business Unit heads with P&L responsibility in Cambridge-based organisations.
