Start date/time:
6pm Tuesday 8 December 2009
End date/time: 9pm Tuesday 8 December 2009 Venue: Red Gate Software, Newnham House, Cambridge Business Park CB4 0WZ Organiser name: Cambridge Network Organiser email: vicky.faupel@cambridgenetwork.co.uk The full schedule for the evening includes Billy Boyle is a co-founder of OwlstoneNanotech Inc, a Cambridge University spin out that has developed a microchip based chemical sensor that can detect a broad range of gases in applications as diverse as homeland security and medical diagnostics. The company has raised $15M, has a staff of 35 people in Cambridge Science Park and has won numerous defense contracts including a $3.7M contract from the US Department of Defense.
Billy says of the company's new sales tool: “When we were selling instrumentation to the technical buyer we were up against a broad range of products and it wasn’t always clear what the key drivers and buying criteria were. We developed an interactive sales tool that allows a prospective customer to select their requirements and compare it against the capability for our products and the competitors. As well as product selector tools we have developed customised ‘economic value’ sales tools to help companies articulate cost savings and business value in sales meetings. We are very interested in demonstrating these tools to a wider group of sales professionals to get views and feedback on the usefulness and applicability in a wider sales context”.
The seminar will be followed by Q&A and a networking drinks reception and buffet. The meeting will take place at the offices of Red Gate Software, Champion and Sponsor of Cambridge Network's Sales SIG, at their Newnham House offices on the Cambridge Business Park, CB4 0WZ.
This event is free to all staff from Cambridge Network corporate member companies, and to book your place please follow this registration link.
About Trinamo:
Trinamo assists companies and their investors with sales acceleration, significantly improving their business performance and value. By understanding the target market, business model, sales behaviours, processes and structure, combined with a company's life stage and performance to date, a sales plan can be created and executed to support growth.
We work with clients in a delivery and/or advisory capacity on both short and long term engagements. Our experience is drawn from a wide variety of industries including global technology companies, investment houses, business schools and management consultancies. Trinamo has significant experience and a proven track record working with companies at any life stage – from start-up to global market leader – and has a strong reputation for quality and results. Red Gate Software produces ingeniously simple tools for over 500,000 Microsoft technology professionals worldwide. We currently specialize in MS SQL Server, .NET and email archiving tools. Established in 1999, we are based in the beautiful, if rather flat, university town of Cambridge, UK. If you're wondering where the name 'Red Gate' came from, we are named after Via Porta Rossa (Red Gate Street) in Florence, Italy, close to where Leonardo da Vinci invented the database in 1512.
Our SQL Toolbelt, a single installer of twelve essential database tools including SQL Compare, SQL Prompt and SQL Backup, is the industry standard in the world's leading companies, including Microsoft, HP, Sage, Bank of America, AT&T and the US Treasury. Working with the SQL Toolbelt means never having to say you're sorry that the database update will be late. .NET developers love our ANTS Performance Profiler because it helps them optimize their code and boost their application's performance. This is because our philosophy is to design highly usable, reliable tools that solve the problems of DBAs and developers. We also want to make dealing with us as simple as possible. This means that we are transparent about our pricing, offer online ordering, and give free trials for all our software that can be downloaded straight from our website.
We are renowned as a great place to work (the Sunday Times agrees) and recruit the best talent for a range of roles, from technical to sales and support. We believe that we offer the best graduate careers for anyone not wanting to be a diving instructor in the Maldives. Don't take our word for it – see what some of our employees say.
