Problem Solving & Creative Thinking: 10th & 11th March 2010

This workshop is designed for those who want to apply a fresh approach to solving problems. This course weaves together a systematic approach to problem solving and creative thinking techniques – this produces a programme that will result in delegates producing fresh solutions to old problems.

Course Content

 

  • A simple 4 stage process to problem solving & consider a range of  techniques to be used to define the actual problem not the symptoms
  • Left and right brain preference and how this effects our problem solving ability
  • A range of creative techniques to improve the problem solving process including lateral think, braining storming, six thinking hats and 5 Y’s
  • A decision making model capable of selecting the right approach and evaluating its success
  • Developing an implementation plan and draw contingencies using include force field analysis and the traffic lights
  • Work on own real creative problem issue
