End date/time: 20:30 Wednesday 3 February 2010 Venue: Red Gate Software, Newnham House, Cambridge Business Park CB4 0WZ Organiser name: Cambridge Network Organiser email: vicky.faupel@cambridgenetwork.co.uk Many Cambridge Network members are private-held technology start-ups and would appreciate an understanding of the good practice that has enabled SAS to continue to grow to its current scale while ranking #20 in 'best companies to work for' (http://www.sas.com/news/preleases/FortuneRanking09.html). Our keynote speaker is David Symonds (pictured) from SAS, which is the world's largest privately held software company with 35 years of profitable growth and 45000+ customer sites worldwide. Our second speaker will be Paul Kenny, one of the UK's top sales trainers, consultants and speakers, from Ocean Learning who will be presenting on 'Creating a High Performance environment for sales people'. Paul will provide attendees with a checklist for auditing the sales environment and will guide them through practical ways in which they can develop the performance environment which will best suit their team, their culture and their marketplace.
The seminar will be followed by Q&A and a networking drinks reception and buffet. The meeting will take place at the offices of Red Gate Software, champion and sponsor of Cambridge Network's Sales SIG, at their Newnham House offices on the Cambridge Business Park, CB4 0WZ. ![]() About Red Gate Software: Red Gate Software produces ingeniously simple tools for over 500,000 Microsoft technology professionals worldwide. We currently specialize in MS SQL Server, .NET and email archiving tools. Established in 1999, we are based in the beautiful, if rather flat, university town of Cambridge, UK. If you're wondering where the name 'Red Gate' came from, we are named after Via Porta Rossa (Red Gate Street) in Florence, Italy, close to where Leonardo da Vinci invented the database in 1512.
Our SQL Toolbelt, a single installer of twelve essential database tools including SQL Compare, SQL Prompt and SQL Backup, is the industry standard in the world's leading companies, including Microsoft, HP, Sage, Bank of America, AT&T and the US Treasury. Working with the SQL Toolbelt means never having to say you're sorry that the database update will be late. .NET developers love our ANTS Performance Profiler because it helps them optimize their code and boost their application's performance. This is because our philosophy is to design highly usable, reliable tools that solve the problems of DBAs and developers. We also want to make dealing with us as simple as possible. This means that we are transparent about our pricing, offer online ordering, and give free trials for all our software that can be downloaded straight from our website.
We are renowned as a great place to work (the Sunday Times agrees) and recruit the best talent for a range of roles, from technical to sales and support. We believe that we offer the best graduate careers for anyone not wanting to be a diving instructor in the Maldives. Don't take our word for it – see what some of our employees say.
