NESSTAR solution is a winner

Bailey Fisher Partners approach brings a breath of fresh air to the market place.

The Management decisions taken in the first years of a venture's life can have profound implications for its long-term prospects of success.

With so much riding on a company's formative years it is imperative that the business plan is 'right first time' and the management team has the blend of skills and experience to expedite the specific vision.

NESSTAR aproached technology team builder, Bailey Fisher, headed up by Paul Bailey and Ann Fisher, to recruit what was viewed at the time as an essential addition to the management team - a chief executive.

Bailey Fisher was able to initiate a review of the business and identify an effective, alternative solution. Bailey Fisher recently linked up with Grant Hawthorne, formerly MD of business angels network Great Eastern Investment Forum.
The new venture, Bailey Fisher Partners, conducts strategic reviews of businesses in conjunction with Bailey Fisher, utilising different but complementary skills. Hawthorne was able to offer NESSTAR a full appraisal of its requirements through an in-depth internal review.

'With NESSTAR, we looked at the product and how best to get it to market, which meant refining who its customers were, the size of the market and how best to sell into it. We also helped to identify the company's top five target sectors.

'Then we looked at the people it would need to realise these goals - an appreciation of the culture and environment of the company helps here.

Bailey said: 'Grant's report gives us an invaluable insight into the workings of the business and its medium to long term goals. Something that many recruitment companies do not see as important information in successfully appointing key members of the team.'
