![]() Cambridge Broadband Networks LimitedDate: 30/07/10 Cambridge Broadband Networks has a story to tellWith a 10th anniversary to celebrate and heavy investment in the future, Cambridge Broadband Networks has quite a story to share.
Once upon a time....well, a decade ago to be more precise, 10 Cambridge engineers founded a group and secured significant funding to develop an innovative solution to the growth in mobile communications. Skip 10 years ahead, and that group, now know as Cambridge Broadband Networks Ltd (CBNL), has not only celebrated its 10th anniversary, but is now a $40m company, employing approx 80 members of staff worldwide, operating in 33 countries and growing. That’s quite a success story. With the recent explosion in mobile data services and the continuous introduction of products such as the iPhone 4 and the iPad, the backhaul section of 3G and 4G networks must be able to cope with this massive increase in traffic. CBNL’s disruptive point-to-multipoint technology allows mobile operators to build better networks...faster. As the industry leader, CBNL continues to look to the future and this means investing heavily in its team to build on the innovative, forward-thinking approach the company is so proud of. Part of this commitment includes an informal recruitment evening on Wednesday 11th August, from 5pm until 7pm, where the company’s HQ on the Cambridge Business Park will open its doors to all those interested in coming along to meet the team and learn more about the company and the opportunities on offer.
