BACTEST took home the prize in the innovation category, sponsored by Apetito, as Speedy Breedy allows food manufacturers to screen raw ingredients, process water, manufacturing equipment and finished product for contamination onsite, shaving days off the time taken to send samples to a lab and receive results. Speedy Breedy is an inexpensive, portable and highly sensitive contamination test that can be operated by non-microbiologists anytime anywhere.
Speedy Breedy provides rapid, reliable results with real time visualisation of microbial activity thereby allowing traceability for every test. Speedy Breedy has successfully undergone several trials at Campden BRI.
