After popping into several businesses along the route of the Mill Road Winter Fair, Daniel will visit businesses with a representative from the Federation of Small Businesses along King’s Parade, Benet Street, Victoria Road and Newmarket Road.

Starting at Nomads Gifts, Records & Jewellery, Daniel will then visit Podarok Creative Gifts and Bacchanalia before meeting staff at The Electric Transport Shop.

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself takes place on the first Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses and is supported by the Federation of Small Business.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “Small businesses in Cambridge need the support of all of us, they often rely on their good reputation and friendly customer service to get by. I’m pleased to join many other people in celebrating Small Business Saturday, these business are the backbone of our local economy”.
