Women associated with Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre, Cambridge Women’s Resources Centre and Cambridge Women’s Aid have produced the work, which will consist of paintings, collages, drawings and objects such as mosaics and pots.
Anglia Ruskin students have organised the exhibition. Third-year criminology student Jordan Griggs said: “I wanted to produce an event that would spread awareness of domestic and sexual violence which is a very real problem in society.
“The art event’s main goal is to showcase the achievements of the women using the local support services.”
The exhibition, being put on to mark (March 8th) International Women’s Day, will go on display on Monday (March 9th), in the foyer of the Lord Ashcroft Building (Broad Street entrance) on Anglia Ruskin’s Cambridge campus.
It will be available to view from 9am until 5.30pm every day until Friday (March 13th).
