turn to put it fully into practice. Day One covers
the skills\, techniques\, and tools you need to c
reate and deliver a great presentation. You then h
ave two weeks to write and prepare a real presenta
tion that you might genuinely give in your working
life. Day Two is devoted to delivering\, watching

DESCRIPTION:Outline\n \n \n This course is highly interactive
and practical throughout. You will work on real ma
 terial\, receive individual feedback\, and leave w
ith both new techniques and a clearer understandin
g of your own presenting strengths. Presentations
are recorded for learning and reflection.\n \n \n
\n The split two-day format gives you time to abso
rb and reflect on your learning\, prepare a presen
tation\, and then return to put it fully into prac
tice. Day One covers the skills\, techniques\, and
tools you need to create and deliver a great pres
entation. You then have two weeks to write and pre
pare a real presentation that you might genuinely
give in your working life. Day Two is devoted to d
 elivering\, watching\, reflecting\, and improving
your skills\, with individual feedback and the opp
ortunity to rework and re-present on the day. The
result is a practical learning experience that del
ivers lasting improvements in presentation effecti
veness.\n \n \n \n We also recognise that many pro
fessionals now use AI tools to support the develop
ment of presentations. While this is not a course
on AI\, we will consider where these tools can add
value\, where they may introduce risks\, and how
to use them effectively as part of the presentatio
n development process. Particular attention will b
e given to ensuring that AI is used to enhance rat
her than replace the speakers authentic voice and
 personal presence.\n \n \n \n Learning Objectives\
n \n \n By the end of the training course\, you wi
 ll:\n \n \n \n \n Understand how to enhance your
personal impact and influence when presenting\n B
e able to create persuasive and memorable content
in your own voice\n Understand how to use AI tool
s in careful and considered ways within the proces
s\, while keeping your own voice intact\n Know ho
w to handle the unexpected with confidence\, inclu
ding difficult or sceptical audiences\n Have deli
vered a real presentation\, received structured fe
edback\, and had the chance to improve it on the s
pot\n Have a clear and personal set of goals to t
ake forward \n \n \n \n Jackie is very inviting an
d engaging\, putting you at ease whilst also pushi
ng you to dive deeper into your skills and how the
y could be improved - a difficult balance to pull
 off.\n \n \n \n \n Course Content\n \n \n Day One
 - Building the Skills\n \n \n A full day of teachi
ng\, discussion\, and interactive exercises. No fo
rmal presentations\, with a focus on learning and
 experimenting in a low-stakes environment.\n \n \n
  \n What Works and Why\n \n \n \n \n Psychologica
l theories of presentation engagement: the key att
ributes of speakers who genuinely land their messa
ge\n The power of emotion\, story\, and specifici
ty (and why AI-generated content so often lacks al
l three)\n Using psychological persuasion techniq
ues to structure content and improve engagement\n
Creating vocal and visual images of competence: h
ow you come across before you’ve said a word\n \n
 \n Writing Your Material\n \n \n \n \n Structurin
g content to engage and hold an audience’s attenti
on from opening to close\n Simplifying complex in
formation without losing meaning or credibility\n
\n \n \n Using AI tools selectively to support pr
eparation while ensuring the final presentation re
flects your own voice and expertise\n Using slide
s to enhance your message rather than carry it\n \
 n \n Performing at Your Best\n \n \n \n \n Banish
ing nerves and building confidence\n The differen
 ce between reading\, scripting\, and speaking\, an
 d finding your own approach\n Notes\, ad-lib\, an
d slide dependency: practical techniques and advic
 e\n \n \n Engaging Your Audience\n \n \n \n \n Re
ading the room and adapting in the moment\n Handl
ing difficult or probing questions with confidence
\n Defending your ideas when challenged\, without
  becoming defensive\n \n \n Between the Two Days\n
\n \n Before Day Two\, you will prepare and pract
ice a short presentation on a topic relevant to yo
ur real work. You are welcome to use AI tools in t
he preparation process and to bring notes on how y
ou used them including what helped\, what you chan
ged\, and what you chose to ignore. This becomes p
art of the Day Two reflection.\n \n \n \n Day Two
 - Delivering\, Reflecting\, and Improving\n \n \n
A full day of presenting\, feedback\, and delibera
te improvement. The emphasis is on learning in the
moment\, not just performing and moving on.\n \n
 \n \n Delivering Your Presentation\n \n \n \n \n
Each delegate delivers their prepared presentation
to the group\n Structured observation by the fac
ilitator and peers during each presentation\n Vid
eo recording for individual review and reflection
(recordings are for personal use only)\n \n \n Fee
 dback and Discussion\n \n \n \n \n Detailed indiv
idual feedback from the facilitator after each pre
sentation\n Structured peer observation and group
discussion\n Identifying what landed\, what didn
’t\, and specifically why\n Reflecting on the AI-
assisted preparation process: what it contributed
and where your own judgement made the difference\n
  \n \n Reworking and Re-Presenting\n \n \n \n \n
Time built into the day to rewrite\, restructure\,
or rehearse a section of the presentation in resp
onse to feedback\n Participants given the opportu
nity to re-present the reworked section\, demonstr
ating improvement in real time rather than simply
noting it for later\n Discussion of what changed
and why it works better\n \n \n Personal Goals and
  Next Steps\n \n \n \n \n Identifying your own pr
esenting patterns: what you default to\, what you
avoid and what to prioritise\n Creating a concret
e set of personal goals to take into real-life pre
 sentations moving forward\n \n \n \n Jackie was am
azing. Very clear in the explanations\, promoting
discussion and narrowing down particular recommend
 ations for each of us\,\n \n \n \n \n  Open Course
