Business Lecture: Is blockchain the future of work? (a Cambridge Network event)

Registration is closed for this event
Cambridge Network’s audience learned a little about blockchain thanks to Dr Garrick Hileman from the Centre for Alternative Finance at the popular cryptocurrencies talk and we thought we’d explore its potential impact in September’s event with a panel discussion.

Hazem Danny Al Nakib is Acting Chairman of Humaniq, the founder of several accelerators, an advisor to multiple public and private entities including Securrency, The Agency and ICUBE at the University of Toronto and various others, where he focuses on the changing financial and regulatory sytems, the crypto-economy and the global distribution of finance, alternative finance and advanced technologies.  Hazem will introduce this session on blockchain and share the present and possible future applications especially in the financial industry and other areas.

Blockchain is a way of processing virtual currency transparently and securely, using software with no single central owner. The impact of blockchain is set to be wide-reaching and could be used for any repeatable transaction, whether a payment or contract, for medical record updating and identity management.

Hazem will be joined in a panel discussion by other key companies in this area – Novum Insights, Coinfirm and Autonomous NEXT. If you’re involved in processing payments or contracts, looking for investment, dabbling in cryptocurrencies, exploring the future of finance, or just interested in the possible impact of blockchain and its impact on the future of finance then this event will be for you. Come and put your questions and share your knowledge with the panel.
