Concerned about an imminent shortfall in hospital equipment, The Government’s Ventilator Challenge launched at the start of the coronavirus outbreak aiming to provide thousands of ventilators to hospitals as the pandemic escalated. Cambridge-based TTP will share with us their role in the challenge, developing a new, rapidly manufacturable ventilator, CoVent in just five weeks.

In this webinar we’ll hear about the challenges of inventing at speed.  These included:

  • responding to Government requirements
  • managing risk
  • organising the team
  • establishing supply chains
  • rapid prototype iteration and regulation

all of which had their own challenges.

This is your chance to find out how TTP got involved with the challenge, what it involved for the team and what was learnt in responding to this unique situation. Several UK companies produced 14,000 ventilators in just three months, to end of July, accounting for over a half of all the ventilators now available to the NHS frontline.

We welcome questions to the speakers ahead of the event, please submit your question on the registration form, or if you prefer, email them to louise.rushworth@cambridgenetwork.co.uk
