Movement, sport and activity is a powerful way to improve people’s lives in so many ways but can importantly play a significant role in addressing many of society’s biggest challenges including equality, diversity, inclusivity, health care, obesity, climate change, poverty and homelessness.
As we adapt and rebuild from the huge disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, can we reimagine how we keep activity central to the lives of everyone?
We will look at:
Sport England’s 10-year strategy to transform lives and communities: Uniting the Movement
The impact of Living Sport’s support for localised programmes for children and young people, communities & health systems
How activity can support physical and mental health in the workplace
How every business can benefit from an active workforce
What is Workplace Movement?
The role business communities can play in enabling and inspiring physical activity.
About the speaker:
Kelly Vickers is Head of Business Development at Living Sport - a charity that strategically advises, advocates and influences where movement, sport and physical activity can contribute to societal or system change and facilitates programmes to enable and inspire active lifestyles. Part of the Active Partnership network and supported by Sport England.
The session will take place at 11am - 12pm on Friday 23rd April. Please sign up to take part! Participants will be sent a link to join via Zoom prior to the start time.
