Many organisations have been using virtual teams successfully for years – in fact, even before the emergence of Covid 19, over 5 million British citizens worked remotely at least one day a week.  Remote working and virtual teams can have significant benefits for an organisation and for the individuals, however leading and managing a remote team requires a slightly different perspective and set of skills.

Over the past six weeks, many of us have been challenged to develop effective working patterns for our teams whilst they adapt to working from home and often in isolation.

Join us for this webinar, where Kathryn Horton and Alex Sellers of Turning Factor will share insights and explore the key elements to successfully leading and managing a remote team during these challenging times:

During this workshop we will:

• Examine the potential benefits of remote working and understand some of the key challenges faced by individuals and the manager

• Discuss the importance of effective communication to performance and morale. We will explore a key communication model to see how we can increase the effectiveness of our communication in a virtual world

• Understand the impact of skilled leadership; how to resist the temptation to micro-management through effective, supportive and agile leadership

• Suggest and discuss relevant management strategies to get the best out of our teams and Identify work system that sets standards, while providing individuals with the freedom to complete tasks in a way that best suits them.

There will be time for some Q&A at the end of the session in order for you to further explore how the content discussed might apply to the particular challenges and situations you are facing.
