Arthur Rank Hospice supports people in Cambridgeshire who are living with a life-limiting illness and those who need end-of-life care. Our services are provided free of charge to patients and their families, to help make every moment count.

 We care for people at the Hospice in Cambridge, the day treatment centre in Wisbech and in patient’s own homes through the Arthur Rank Community team. Our specialist and community-based palliative care supports patients with a life-limiting diagnosis to improve their quality of life and fulfil their choices at the end of their lives.  

The care and support provided by our inpatient unit, day therapy services and Hospice at Home teams is practical, holistic and tailored to the individual. Programmes may include psychological support, physiotherapy, complementary therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitative support, counselling, bereavement and spiritual support. Outpatient services such as medical and pain clinics, as well as our lymphoedema service, are based in our Bradbury Wellness Centre.

We are passionate about sharing our specialist knowledge and continuing to raise the standard of palliative care across the region, running a variety of courses for healthcare professionals.

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity needs to secure £7.45 million every year to deliver our services free of charge to patients and their loved ones. About half of this currently comes from statutory sources with further funds raised through our Bistro, education services, conference facility and hairdressing salon. The remainder is raised thanks to the wider local community who are motivated to ensure that work of the hospice continues: amongst other things they donate to our shops, take part in our events, take on personal challenges, hold their own fundraisers or leave gift in their Will. 

We are constantly looking for new opportunities to sustain funds, so we can keep providing and developing our vital services long into the future.

The Education Centre: External Hire

The Education Centre offers modern purpose built facilities for your training event, workshop, board meeting or conference. The Centre can cater for up to 90 people, has its own reception & a small break out area. Set in tranquil peaceful surroundings, this is an ideal location for your training or corporate event.

Management of Pain
