Cambridge & District Citizens Advice Bureau
Cambridge & District Citizens Advice Bureau @CambridgeCAB. The charity for our community: supporting people in Cambridge since 1939.
Cambridge CAB is part of network of almost 400 Bureaux across England and Wales which makes up the Citizens Advice service. All Bureaux are independent charities, responsible for their own funding.
Cambridge CAB offers a general advice service at its central Bureau for walk-in clients and appointments, as well as self-help Advicehub kiosks, online, e-mail and telephone advice services. Cambridge CAB offers free, independent and confidential advice on legal, money, benefits, relationship, employment and housing matters.
We also campaign locally and nationally on issues that affect people's lives in order to influence policymakers.
Do you want to know more about protecting yourself from scammers, rogue traders and irresponsible lenders – and how to stop them?
Consumerhub is a partnership led by Cambridge & District Citizens Advice Bureau, working with other CABs, Trading Standards and other organisations in the Eastern region to provide consumer advice and information to residents. Use Consumerhub to find out about... current issues on:-
We also run AdviceSpace at our Devonshire Road offices, a meeting room hire and office space social enterprise business. The surplus income from these trading activities is re-invested into the CAB to support its advice services to the community.
AdviceSpace offers an opportunity for businesses, both those driven by social objectives and commercial organisations, to:
Hire our two meeting/training rooms, both superbly equipped with the latest A/V equipment, and serviced by friendly staff.
Rent desk space in an open-plan environment, recently refurbished to the highest standards, working in a ‘hub’ of similar organisations, sharing ideas and knowledge.
Rent high quality office space in Cambridge’s most prestigious new CB1 community, at the heart of the regeneration of this city area, close to the railway station with fast connections to London and the Midlands and other major transport routes.
It’s a great place to work, whether you’re a third sector or commercial organisation, or perhaps you’re a freelancer who just needs an office space once or twice a week.
