Engineering Technician - L3 Apprenticeship

Overview

Aircraft Maintenance Fitters/Technicians work on maintaining aircraft of all types from small aeroplanes to airliners, jet fighters and helicopters, both civil and military. They are expected to carry out approved maintenance processes to maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft. It involves highly skilled, complex and specialist work, maintaining aircraft systems according to approved requirements and work instructions, using relevant hand tools and equipment. They must comply with civil and or military regulatory and organisational requirements. They must be able to research data sources, ensuring that on completion of a task all aircraft documentation is accurately filled in.

Engineering Fitter - L3 Apprenticeship

Overview

The broad purpose of the occupation is to produce complex high value, low volume components or assemblies in full or part, using machines, equipment or systems, to the required specification. For example, turbines, cranes, gearboxes, production lines, rigs and platforms. Fitters may typically have a mechanical, electrical, electronic, control systems, pipe fitting or instrumentation bias or operate across multiple disciplines depending on the type of assembly.

Overview 

Improvement Technicians are responsible for delivery and coaching of improvement activity within an area of responsibility, often associated with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. They can be found across all industry sectors and functions including automotive, banking, engineering, food products, IT, property, retail, telecoms etc. Through a mix of group exercises, games and an improvement project, a tangible behavioural change will improve processes and drive productivity.

Operations / Departmental Manager - L5 Apprenticeship

Overview

An operations/departmental manager is someone who manages teams and/or projects, and achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives, as part of the delivery of the organisations strategy. They are accountable to a more senior manager or business owner. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities and job titles will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same. Key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring.

This apprenticeship is aimed at experienced managers, subjects will cover improving people and resource management skills, development of managerial processes, managing a budget and managing a project.

Course structure

We can deliver Blanchard Management Essentials® in your organisation as a six-hour face-to-face workshop or as three two-hour virtual sessions. Both designs include pre-workshop activities and engaging participant materials, videos, and learning activities that teach participants the key concepts.

After the workshop, participants take the Blanchard Management Essentials® Challenge, which includes reinforcement tools for practicing the new skills. They also have access to workshop videos and worksheets through the learner portal for a full year.
