Qkine is a Cambridge-based manufacturer of high quality growth factors for use in stem cell science and regenerative medicine applications. Spun-out from the University of Cambridge in 2016, Qkine builds on expertise in protein purification and structural biology developed at the University and existing collaborations with the stem cell community to address the need for high quality growth factors. Qkine’s new product development program uses protein engineering and other innovative hypothesis-led techniques to tackle challenges in protein production for stem cell and organoid biology.
University of Cambridge spin-out Qkine has closed its seed investment round supported by Cambridge Enterprise, the commercialisation arm of the University, and a team of five angels led by Jim Warwick. The amount is undisclosed.
