You might be a busy professional or someone who has lots of care responsibilities or you work with clients and customers, where your needs are not fully met and you are losing sight of yourself and feel disconnected in the world. This Workshop facilitates you in taking time working inside, and in nature, to explore concepts like 'what is your inner voice saying?' to deepen your insight and understanding into your core motivations.
The Workshop will be facilitated by Katharine Peel, a Mindfulness Coach & Teacher and Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and Margaret Walsh, a qualified Psychotherapist, Coach & Supervisor. Both Katharine & Margaret have a strong connection to the natural world and examine how to learn from and integrate nature more fully in our lives.
Guest Speaker: Professor Viren Swami (Professor of Social Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University) will be our Guest Speaker. Viren's research has explored the psychological benefits of being in nature in fostering greater self-compassion.
Finally the Head Gardener of Newnham College, Lottie Collis, will also have a short slot and will explain the significance of the gardens in the life of the College.
The cost of this Workshop is £195 (and is limited to 20 participants), with the offer of an early bird discount reducing the cost to £175 if booked by 31 January 2019. Food and refreshments (including a 2-course buffet lunch in the College Dining Room) are included in the fee.
