The 6th Chinese Poetry Spring Festival Gala

Reading poems for small gatherings has become a tradition for River Cam Breeze Chinese Literature Journal to welcome the Chinese New Year. In the past, the Cam Breeze poets and readers met in the old orchards of Grantchester on Boxing Day to share their love for words and love for life.

This year, to celebrate the 19th anniversary of their first publication, River Cam Breeze Chinese Literature Journal is inviting its readers, contributors and supporters to the Spring Festival Gala of Poetry.

The Spring Festival Gala of Chinese Poetry aims to persist in the creative transformation of outstanding traditional poetry culture, to show the artistic form of poetry on the stage, and to discover the beauty of poetry. Founded in 2015, it was jointly organized by the Chinese Qu Yuan Research Association and the Chinese Poetry Research Centre to promote classic traditional culture, build confidence in national culture, and celebrate the Chinese nation. A cultural feast for the traditional Spring Festival, the Chinese Poetry Spring Festival Gala has been successfully held five times. In addition to performing in the large venues in Beijing, it has also set up branch venues in about 60 cities including New York, Tokyo, London, Rotterdam, Toronto, and Melbourne.
