Here are a few words from David:

“I am a Director in the Alexa AI Knowledge team, and also the Site Leader for Amazon Cambridge. In this talk, I’ll tell you a bit about the history of Amazon in Cambridge, from the acquisition of Evi (an AI startup) in 2012, through to the many Amazon teams and hundreds of tech roles we have in Cambridge today. I’ll tell you about what those teams are working, and how we innovate for global customers across such a diverse range of products, including Alexa, AWS S3, Amazon Scout, and more besides.

I’d also like to share some of the work we are doing with the wider community in Cambridge, through programs such as Amazon Future Engineer, and in partnership with non-profit organizations around the city.

Finally, I’ll tell you a bit about how we’re responding to big changes in our working environment, and why we remain confident that Cambridge remains a great place for us to innovate, and therefore a place we will continue to invest in for the future.”
