Independents account for something in the order of 65% of the approximately 290,000 retail outlets in the UK and are at the heart of local communities throughout the country.
To promote Independents Week we are aiming to replicate the template of Love Cambridge Restaurant Week which has been a great success in terms of press coverage, reach, engagement and voucher downloads. At the time of writing this we have had over 25,000 views to the restaurant week website page, as well as over 2,000 voucher downloads, which is really exciting. The dates have been chosen intentionally to run alongside the national Independents’ Day campaign that exists to support and promote independent retail businesses across the UK.
