Event details:

Diversity For Business Success
In collaboration with Hundred Houses, Cambridge Network would like to invite you to an afternoon discussion on the theme of Diversity for Business Success. There is much evidence to suggest that a diverse workplace, reflecting all aspects of society, can bring numerous benefits not least an engaged and productive workforce.  We will look at the business case for promoting diversity in the workplace, and identify the opportunities for potential collaboration to support Cambridge's diverse business community.

This initial meeting will introduce two stories about increasing tolerance and appreciating diversity in very different organisations which we hope will spark debate and stimulate ideas for future events on these lines.

Speakers:

David Pearson, Director of Global Inclusion & Diversity, KPMG

David will be sharing his perspective on diversity within a large international organisation, and advocating for LGBT rights at a national level. David is a Trustee of LGBT mental health and wellbeing charity ELOP, an alumnus of the Stonewall Leadership Programme and the Radius Business Network Leaders' programme.

Julie Inns, Diversity and Inclusion Consultant

Julie has been working in the field of equality and diversity since 2005, where she has supported and advocated for victims of crime within minority communities. She works with front line practitioners in Police, Probation, Health, Education, and the voluntary sector on topics such as hate crime, safeguarding and radicalisation, bullying, discrimination, equality and diversity induction, respect at work, unconscious bias, and more.
