Human factors concerns the things that affect how people behave. They are the social and personal skills, such as communication and decision making that we need to complement our technical skills to ensure that mistakes are minimised and we can continue to performe our roles safely. These are commonly studied in aviation and medicine where mistakes can cost lives. However, human factors affect all people in all job roles.
