Immigration Masterclass

This masterclass is relevant for HR personnel / Recruitment / CEO’s who are either applying for a PBS Licence or already hold a PBS Licence but not completely up to date with the current Home Office policies and regulations.

If your organisation is applying for a PBS Licence, it is very likely that you receive a site visit by the Home Office before they approve the your application. If you already hold a PBS Licence and not yet had a visit, you should plan to test your in-house processes and expect a site visit.

The most recent stats issued by the Home Office confirm that over the last six months - 739 site visits were conducted and the outcomes were :

  • 57% of new PBS applications declined on the basis of non-compliance
  • 39% of PBS licence holders had their licence de-listed and suspended and issued an action plan
  • 32% of PBS licence holders had their licence immediately revoked

Our Compliance Team are here to help you whether you are applying for a PBS licence or already a licence holder.

Cambridge has recruitment challenges with many companies heavily reliant on attracting skilled migrant workers.

The session will cover

  • Right to work updates inc the new rules for European nationals
  • Tier 2 visa holder compliance check list
  • PBS licence compliance
  • What to expect during a site visit and the questionnaire followed by the Home Office Officials
  • What documents you should have prepared in advance
  • On-going compliance over the 4 years your licence is live including what changes you must report to the Home Office, how to report and the timescales
  • If you are a Level 1 user / Authorising Officer – what is your role & responsibilities
