Event details:

The Mental Health First Aid course teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue. In January we are offering an online course which is a mix of individual learning and trainer-led live workshops, over 8 sessions.

We also promote self-care as a way for people to look after their mental health and prevent issues from getting worse and this is discussed on the course. The course will give a deeper understanding of the issues that affect and impact our mental health, by raising awareness of the issues with carefully planned learning you will be able to recognise the signs of poor mental health. You will be more confident and able to approach and support someone, a colleague, friend or family member.

The training is delivered by Jeremy Gulvin a nationally recognised instructor and trainer. Participants will gain: -

  • An indepth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing.
  • Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues.
  • Confidence to reassure and support a person in distress.
  • Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support.

We are offering this course in the new year for only £279 per person (no VAT), we are a not-for-profit so money raised goes directly to our charitable work. Dates to be confirmed plesae get in touch for details.
