Rebranding – a positive move [a Cambridge Network event]

Branding exists in how a company or organisation is perceived by its customers. But what do you do if you have to rebrand? In a change to our regular 'breakfast networking' slot, this talk will be in the same format, but starting late afternoon instead.

A lot of people think that branding is just about their graphic ident/logo – but that's not what branding is about. Branding exists in how a company or organisation is perceived by its customers. But what do you do if you have to rebrand? It can be a difficult decision and how do you go about doing it? You trust an external voice for their expertise and honest opinion, and you look to the heart of your brand – your customers – to discover your true identity.

This is the story of the rebranding and refocus in direction for Indie Cambridge. Both internal and external factors combined to make this an essential business decision but recognising this as a small company can be a daunting discovery. Enlisting outside expert help and listening to their customers, Anne Beamish and Steve Linford (aka Indie Cambridge) changed both their company name and their business model for the better. Working closely with Ludo Chapman from The Innovation Practice, they have seen their customer numbers grow, the awareness of their business increase, and their opportunities for the future move that bit closer.

Agenda:

4.00pm - Registration and networking over coffee and mince pies

4.30pm - Speakers - Anne Beamish, Indie Cambridge & Ludo Chapman, The Innovation Practice

5.30pm - Further networking and a chance to follow up with the speakers

6.00pm - Event close
