Shooting stories: creating meaning with a camera [Webinar]

A fun, practical workshop led by Sookio for Cambridge Network, in which you’ll learn how to tell your audience stories effectively through video and photography – ideally with just the tech you find in your smartphone. At 40 minutes plus time for questions, by the end of the session you’ll be armed with a set of techniques you can use to tell a story in a visually engaging way.

The workshop will be hosted by Matt Harris, Head of Production at creative agency Sookio. Founder and digital marketing specialist Sue Keogh will also be on hand to help run the session and join in the Q&A at the end.

What will we cover?
• Creating your own brief. What story do you want to tell and how best to tell it? Understand your target audience and how to work your story to their expectations
• Understanding the image. Learn how to create meaning and make an impression with your shots through learning about composition. This covers camera angles, settings, props and more.
• What tech do you need? A run through the simple equipment you need to capture great still and moving imagery.
• Q&A
