Staying well at work: flexible working and wellbeing, what next? [A Cambridge Network event]

Six months after COVID-19 thrust many of us suddenly into flexible working, it feels as if we’re settling into a new routine, albeit one that can change quickly and suddenly.

So what have we learned from the last six months? What can we do to make the future work well for us and what is one company doing to embrace flexible working?

In this session we’ll hear from business psychologist and coach (and Cambridge Network trainer) Sheila McDerment from MC Works. Sheila will focus on how our working practices have changed over the last 6 months, the impact on our personal and working lives and what we should be doing now. As it looks likely that a hybrid working life will be a reality for a while yet, what are the challenges now in keeping up meaningful communication or integrating new people into a team? And how can we continue to look out our colleagues and ourselves? This talk will build on her talk for us 6 months ago, which you can check out on our YouTube channel here.

We’ll also hear from two colleagues at AVEVA: Alicia McCollam, Programme Manager for Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing and Paul Wellstead, Sr. Content, Channel and Engagement Manager, who will share their experiences and the initiatives that they have established at AVEVA, to keep their workforce connected and healthy.

Speakers:

  • Sheila McDerment from MC Works: how have our working practices changed over the last 6 months?
  • Alicia McCollam, Programme Manager for Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing and Paul Wellstead, Sr. Content, Channel and Engagement Manager, AVEVA: their experiences and the initiatives at AVEVA, to keep their workforce connected and healthy.

Please come ready to listen, watch and share your experiences of flexible working over the last 6 months, and what you hope to be doing over the next 6 months to embrace flexible working and wellbeing.
