Event details:

The Chimp Model: An Introduction

An introduction to how we can improve the quality of our professional and personal lives.

Our mind is a remarkable machine that represents our greatest asset and our biggest liability. This machine is what inspires us to pursue our dreams and goals, and at the same time it can sabotage us and stop us from doing the things that we want to do.

How well do you understand the machine in your head and how effective are you in getting it to operate optimally in your workplace?

Learning Activities:
This day represents an introduction to help people to understand how our mind works and how we can improve the quality of our life both professionally and personally.   The approach is grounded in the principles of neuroscience but is framed in an accessible for-all model. The day is a mix of tailored talks, reflective tasks, networking activities and small-& whole-group discussions.

Outcome Objectives:
• Gain insight into how your 2 thinking brain really operates
• Learn how the Chimp Model can benefit you in your life and how reflective practice prepares you for your next challenge
• Gain an understanding of where to go next with the model and your development

Intended Audience:
Open to everyone interested in learning about the Chimp Model and how it can help you in your professional and personal lives.

No prior Chimp Model knowledge required.

The Chimp Model, developed by Professor Steve Peters and applied with success to GB Olympians, businesses, education and personal development, is a practical and fun working model to help build insight and a structure to understand ourselves.
