Alzheimer’s Research UK is delighted to be hosting a virtual book launch with actress, broadcaster, and writer Shobna Gulati and journalist Arifa Akbar. Join us for this special evening in conversation with Shobna from 6pm on 16 September.
Virtual book launch with Shobna Gulati
Shobna’s book Remember Me? (available to pre-order now!) tells the vivid story of Shobna’s life from acting in shows such as Dinnerladies and Coronation Street to taking on the role of caring for her mother who developed vascular dementia. The book is a poignant, funny, devastating, and honest account of how dementia affects both the individual and the family around them
The event is free to attend, but if you can donate to Alzheimer’s Research UK please consider supporting us to help us safeguard crucial dementia research during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We fund innovative research with the power to transform lives, campaign for government action, and help people to understand dementia and the progress we’re making with research.
Our people are vital to our mission. Our pioneering spirit is reflected in the energy and drive of our staff – all of whom play a key role in helping realise our vision of a world where people are free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia.
