Where do you want to work in 2021? In the office? Anywhere? [Webinar]

For many people, our places of work changed radically in 2020. But how will we work effectively in the future? Will we be back in the office, prefer to be at home or have a hybrid arrangement? How will employers manage these changes in working habits, if agreed permanently?  Share your thoughts, hear from different perspectives and learn some tips to help you to start your 2021 in the right place, wherever you may be.

If you are a worker: What on earth happened to us in 2020 and where does it leave us now?  Many polls report that people have discovered real merits of working from home – extra time, financial savings on commuting, or enjoying a more relaxed work wardrobe.  Maybe you are currently ‘working from home’ in your shorts on a Mediterranean island, or thinking that you might as well be!  With the arrival of a vaccine, do you want to go back to the way you used to work?  It seems that for many of us, the answer is ‘no’.  But we’re also suffering Zoom fatigue, wondering whether to upgrade our temporary home office space and dreaming of face-to-face meetings.  We are social animals.

If you also manage people or run an organisation: Maybe you are finding there are silver linings from not being in the office? For example, recruiting talent from a larger geographical pool of people or gaining welcomed savings from downsizing your office space.  Has ‘working from anywhere’ become a blueprint for how you want your organisation to function in 2021, or not?  Of all the happenings in 2020, one of the core dilemmas that has emerged for employers is whether to shift to more of a ‘work from anywhere’ culture or whether to encourage people to get back to a normal of ‘being in the office’.

Kelly Drewery, Business Psychologist at Talent Glue and Katherine Wiid, Recruitment and Retention Coach at Recrion will facilitate a discussion about the location dilemmas facing employers and working people.

Join us for a conversation and learn about other people’s perspectives to help you create valuable meaning from the last year.  We offer some take away tips to help you to start your 2021 in the right place, wherever you may be.
