Job OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Development Services Technician to play a vital role in supporting the delivery and inspection of water network projects. You’ll conduct on-site surveys, inspect underground piping, support connection and scheme delivery teams, and act as the primary point of contact for customers and developers. As a Development Services Technician, you’ll be instrumental in upholding our standards and ensuring smooth, efficient processes across our services.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough on-site surveys, completing pre-commencement and inspection tasks to ensure water network safety and compliance with Water Regulations.
- Engage directly with customers and developers, providing clear guidance and exceptional service on connection and regulatory matters.
- Identify and communicate potential site risks, supporting safe work practices and ensuring adherence to traffic and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to support successful project delivery and adherence to Level of Service (LOS) targets.
- Utilize IT systems to document surveys, capture site conditions, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of water networks, water mains, and service pipework, with hands-on experience in the field.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform accurate, efficient site surveys, demonstrating strong attention to detail and familiarity with digital tools.
- Understanding of safety regulations, risk assessments, and relevant regulatory compliance.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
