Finance & Office Administrator (12 month Maternity Cover)

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organised individual to join our small and friendly Cambridge Network team and help provide a first-class service to our members. You will be a self-starter, who enjoys working within a dynamic environment and brings financial administration experience.

This is a part-time, 12-month maternity cover role, starting at the end of June 2025. Reports to: CEO.

We are also interested in any candidates who could bring additional financial management skills to the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Organising and maintaining financial records across systems
  • Managing credit control and maintaining timely payments
  • Managing membership transactions, renewals, records and communication
  • Managing direct debits, tracking, and updating systems
  • Overseeing finance-related processes across all departments
  • Managing emails and ensuring seamless communication
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; including the wider team, customers and suppliers.
  • Accurately maintain key information and data
  • Ad hoc finance-related tasks to support the CEO and wider team
  • Managing office supplies, assisting with general administrative duties and supporting the team at Cambridge Network events

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Highly organised with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experienced and confident in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • A friendly, approachable and adaptable team player
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Previous experience in finance administration or equivalent role

Desirable:

  • Experience using financial IT systems, preferably Xero
  • Experience of financial operations and analysis

Details:

This role is offered on the basis of 22.5 hours per week, with flexible working days, subject to operational requirements.

The Cambridge Network office is based in the Hauser Forum on the West Cambridge site. This role offers a hybrid-working model with a mixture of on-site and home-working.
