We have immediate, significant expansion plans and are looking for a talented and committed individual with both technical knowledge and commercial acumen to join our growing Strategic Alliances division.

Reporting to the Strategic Alliances Manager, this role is a fantastic opportunity to join our highly successful commercial team and take an active role in growing our already successful global brand. With responsibility for supporting the RealVNC Strategic Alliances sales efforts, this role also offers an opportunity to develop your professional career working with an already successful global brand and the inventors of VNC technology.

The successful candidate will have a good technical understanding or sales background in a relevant industry with an understanding of the concepts of software development, commercial software licensing and will possess an entrepreneurial approach to business. The role will involve responding to incoming enquiries, exploring customer-side requirements and collaboratively exploring how RealVNC technology can be integrated, embedded or bundled to enhance the value-added proposition of remote access technology.

Desired skills and experience

  • Significant experience in a customer facing role in a related industry as a software sales consultant, software consultant or freelance developer
  • Familiarity with software licensing and policies
  • A thorough understanding of value propositions
  • A true passion for new technolgoy products
  • Awareness of programming disciplines such as C++, .NET, Java
  • Strong listening, probing and telephone skills
  • Willingness to travel as required, including outside the UK (generally office based)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and acting as a representative of RealVNC at all times
  • A relevant degree (or equivalent qualification) in a Buiness/ Technical subject or QBE
