Our Product Support team is hiring!
RealVNC is a highly successful, forward-thinking software company based in Cambridge (UK) City Centre. As the original inventors and developers of VNC remote-access technology, our software is used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide from the non-technical home user to IT professionals at global companies such as Intel, Google, IBM, DreamWorks, NASA and Philips. We have won three Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in the last 3 years and won the 2013 Royal Academy of Engineering’s MacRobert prize, the UK’s most prestigious award for engineering.
The product support team provides outstanding technical support to external customers who require assistance on our range of products. Specifically, we:
- take ownership of, reproduce and resolve customer issues
- liaise with the relevant teams when escalating product issues
- maintain internal and external knowledgebases
- help to ensure documentation is current and accurate
- test new builds of software prior to general release
- train RealVNC staff on our product suite
- work closely with Sales and Marketing on customer product evaluations
We are currently searching for product support engineers at various levels within RealVNC to help us provide a first class support service to our global customer base. For these roles, we are looking for team players with excellent problem solving skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills. A good working knowledge of at least one major operating system (Windows, UNIX, Mac OS X) is essential, and an understanding of the fundamentals of networking (IP, DNS, NAT, port forwarding) would also be beneficial. A technical degree or relevant qualification would be great for this role, as would experience of dealing with customers in a technical environment, but don’t worry if you don’t tick all of the boxes as we still want to hear from you.
