As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at CDP you will be involved in developing products that make a difference. These can be in a wide range of areas including; developing novel medical devices & drug delivery systems, cutting-edge diagnostics and consumer devices which improve lives. Your role will offer you the perfect opportunity to lead on projects and still use your technical knowledge to offer innovative solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for performing design for manufacture and design transfer to manufacture of products and processes in the consumer, healthcare, industrial and energy sectors. Leading the business development of project work, concerning the transition from product realisation into manufacturing realisation. This will include developing collateral and capabilities in these areas to support business growth with existing clients and to actively seek new business in this area. Managing and working on projects throughout the product and process development lifecycles including both early and later stage projects. There will be a focus on process development and manufacturing realisation to include activities such as DFMA, pFMEA and QC plan, process validation IQ/OQ/PQ along with process equipment development -URS/TRS/FAT/SAT. Mentoring and growing teams to support the growth of business in the process development and manufacturing realisation area.
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
YOU WILL HAVE:
- Track record of leading projects from concept through to production, taking responsibility for quality, time and profit
Outstanding presentation and client management skills
- Significant commercial awareness in one of the following environments: technical/design consultancy; technology start-up; new product development; new product introduction
- Ability to spot sales opportunities, write proposals and attend conferences with a view to building up a client database
1st or 2:1 degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering from a top university or a post graduate qualification and equivalent experience
Current hands-on expertise in areas such as: concept generation; system level design; engineering analysis and detail design; 3D CAD; prototyping and lab testing; design for high and low volume manufacture; design for high reliability; transfer to manufacture; manufacturing process development; world class manufacturing principles
Strong drive to rapidly absorb and develop further technical, project leadership, and sales skills.
