Human Factors experts at Cambridge Design Partnership are critical to our product development offering. As an integral part to User Centred Design, your role will span the breadth of product development; from identifying user needs and market opportunities, through to the definition of a product and refining its usability, all the way to end stage validation testing. You will have the opportunity to implement Human Factors within our project teams as well as developing and conducting your own user research in the field and delivering your research insights and analysis back to the development team and client. Our Human Factors team have years of experience from a range of industries and can support any aspiring Human Factors practitioner find their feet in product development.


  • 1st or 2:1 degree in Human Factors, Product Design, Engineering, Psychology or Social Sciences related field
  • Experience in applying human factors to product development or safety critical industries (Knowledge of FDA & EU regulated healthcare products is an advantage)
  • Knowledge of designing, implementing, moderating and reporting user research
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationwide and overseas (essential)
  • Demonstrative experience of translating research into design recommendations
  • Design and planning of workshops for new and exciting products
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills 
  • Bright, conscientious and creative with an ability to demonstrate a hobby or interest with a practical or technical relevance
