Engineering Education Simulation Specialist

This role offers opportunities to: work with leading engineering academics and ANSYS professionals engaged in educational resource development; make a real difference to undergraduate and graduate level teaching of engineering simulations, materials and design; and strengthen your professional network.


  • Educational Resource Development: creating effective and innovative teaching resources (such as web tools, multimedia, projects, exercises with worked solutions, lectures) focused on undergraduate and graduate engineering simulation, materials and design
  • Community building: engaging with leading academics online and face-to-face, writing engaging content and contribute to discussions, helping to improve communication and supporting user group meetings
  • Presentation: demonstrating new education resources to educators in meetings, online webinars and at conferences
  • Collaboration: Work with a vibrant, multicultural, interdisciplinary team
  • Some travel maybe required


  • A passion for engineering education, simulation and materials education and communication
  • A PhD (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline with a strong link to engineering design processes that involves engineering simulation
  • Experience with engineering simulation software
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Experience of multiple international higher education systems
  • Experience in presenting at conferences
  • Experience in writing research or educational articles
  • Ability to work with a diverse and multicultural group of engineers and scientists, often located in different time zones


  • Some experience with ANSYS Workbench and other ANSYS products
  • Some experience of CES EduPack or CES Selector
  • Knowledgeable about the current trends in engineering education
  • Knowledgeable about various learning and teaching styles
