Accounts and Administration Officer - Part Time

We are looking to appoint an Accounts/Administration Officer to support a busy office environment in a growing business.

At Genestack, we are tackling the underlying computational and scientific challenges of bioinformatics in order to provide researchers with software tools that will streamline the discovery process and drive forward precision medicine, drug development and bioinformatics research. Our clients are global blue-chip pharma, leading research institutions and hospitals.

For this position the individual should be a naturally confident person with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop. An attention to detail, the ability to prioritise, a flexible working approach and competency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience in an admin/accounts role are essential.


Main duties:

  • Assisting the business in the maintenance of financial records using Xero, posting transactions, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and expense claims

  • Prepare monthly reports including timesheet and project reports and assist with the preparation of the management accounts

  • Perform calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Finance Director

  • Support the Operations Director with HR and general administration

  • Administer the HR system - People HR

  • Support the sales team with administration, booking flights and accommodation

  • Support the Marketing Manager with administration including conference bookings

  • Ad-hoc administration helping colleagues, such as arranging travel, meetings and company events

Part-time – 20 hours per week
