Senior Production Manager

Job Purpose

To ensure Production outputs meet Customer and Commercial requirements within assigned functions. To partner with Engineering to ensure designs can and will be applied to meet requirements and within budget.

Key Accountabilities

  • To manage a team of Production Managers; to ensure team performance meets required KPIs

  • To ensure operations process and procedures are maintained

  • Lead continuous improvement and lean processes in partnership with technical experts

  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety Standards within remit

  • Resource and capacity planning

  • Partner with Engineering and Project Management to ensure seamless delivery of project requirements

  • Engage with Quality and Supply Chain to ensure maximum support and standards met within production

  • To represent Operations at Group initiatives

  • To managed budgets within assigned functions

  • Utilise engineering and production expertise to contribute to the commercial success of the project.


Experience (essential):

  • In-depth experience in engineering; ideally Production Engineering (Chartered)

  • Substantial experience in manufacturing and assembly techniques

  • Experience in planning and estimating within a manufacturing environment

  • Experience in a customer facing role

  • Experience of having managed large teams

  • Ideally experience of integrated project teams and matrix environment

  • Good knowledge of ISO90001 Quality Standards

  • Person Specification

  • Drive and tenacity; able to operate with minimal supervision

  • Ability to coach and develop others

  • Able to influence/ partner key stakeholders

  • Creative flair to drive improvements
