Job Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Finance leader to take the role of Head of Finance. As the lead for the Finance function of Aeropeople, reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role will provide key strategic support for the senior management team, and be responsible for the effective delivery of the finance team, as well as managing and maintaining an effective controls environment.

Key Duties:

  • Responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Finance team including resource and task management, performance management and any other related tasks.
  • To maintain appropriate control systems to prevent and detect errors and to provide reasonable assurance that the financial systems will produce outputs of acceptable quality to the business unit and the company and are compliant with all regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Co-ordinating and providing input into the preparation of the business unit strategic plan which will support the delivery of the overall MADG strategy.
  • Provide support for sales activity including understanding financial risks, investigating applicable tax & employment regulations, and validate costings and pricing of new opportunities.
  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation, submission and consolidation of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the business unit in line with group deadlines, and provide suitable analysis and overview to the drivers and variances.
  • Production of the monthly management accounts and reporting, with suitable commentary and analysis. Accompanying the Managing Director at Aeropeople Board Meetings, as the Head of Finance.
  • Design, development and delivery of effective financial reports suitable for each level of the business to further understanding and drive performance from all areas of the business unit.
  • Responsible for financial risk management, including but not exclusive of – foreign exchange, debt management, cash, tax compliance (domestic and overseas), fraud, and insurance.
  • Ensure the weekly and monthly contractor payrolls are processed accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining the necessary information, filing and documentation associated with the Aeropeople subsidiaries – Gmbh (Germany) and S.r.l. (Italy).
  • Provide strategic support for the senior management team

 


Qualifications

  • Must hold a degree level (or equivalent) qualification and be a fully qualified chartered accountant (or equivalent).

  • Extensive previous experience in equivalent role.- Strong leadership and People Management Experience

  • Advanced corporate awareness.

  • Experience of managing exchange rate and compliance risks associated with international business

  • Able to build relationship with people of all levels and within all areas of an organisation.

  • Comfortable challenging the status quo, leading teams and influencing those around them.

  • Driven and committed to ensure success in meeting business, people and personal objectives.

  • Software knowledge required:

    • Microsoft Excel – Advance

    • Microsoft Word – Intermediate

    • Microsoft Access – Intermediate
