Job Description

Due to internal progression we have a new opportunity for an experienced Estimator with experience of working within an Engineering/Manufacturing Environment, to come and join the team here at Marshall ADG. With a high ethical code to deliver, you will be passionate about what you do, work to support the Marshall core values and meet business needs both now and in the future.

Your role will be to lead on the production of comprehensive, integrated estimates of costs of labour, material and associated elements (including assumptions, dependencies, risk assessments) in support of bids, proposals and contract variation.

You will be expected to challenge and understand the reasoning behind technical assumptions. You will have conviction to stand behind the assumptions you make in the generation of cost estimates.

You with a keen technical eye you will have the ability to transpose a technical drawing or maintenance manual into a resource demand and material cost estimate.

You will have a passion to improve and help drive improvements across the business, not be afraid to question why and how things are done. You will have excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders including Executives and Directors. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills, able to priorities your work load and meet to meet business objectives and deadlines


Qualifications

You will be able to demonstrate a high technical competency whilst also able to adapt to a changing and evolving business. 

Experience within an Engineering and manufacturing environment

Proven background as a subject matter expert within Estimating.

Experience of working with diverse stakeholder groups (including executives)

Good knowledge of estimating methodologies,

Presentation and communication skills to audiences to Director level,

Working in an environment of competing priorities.

ACostE Certified Professional, ICEAA Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst or equivalent

Due to the nature of our business, all employment is subject to satisfactory references being obtained, attainment of either an MoD SC (Security Check), appropriate UK Criminal Record Check or Foreign Police Check (whichever is applicable depending on duration of UK residency) and, as applicable, a medical assessment. Access to US technical data by employees requires prior Trade Control function approval. Clearance must be carried out against all applicable US export control authorisations.
