CDT is seeking an Accounts Assistant to process a wide range of accounting information including purchase ledger, bank, sales and fixed asset register, amongst other broader roles required for a successful Finance team.
Within this role, you will make a significant contribution to the general day-to-day activities of the Finance team in order to make its output successful. This will involve collaborating with CDT’s multi-functional technical teams, the Intellectual Property team and other CDT support functions. The Accounts Assistant will work closely with the remainder of the Finance team to ensure all finance tasks are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner.
Ideally educated to A’level standard, or with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English, or NVQ level 2-3 (as appropriate) is required. You will be qualified, either via a professional accounting qualification or by strong relevant experience, ideally gained in a hi-tech R&D organisation. Demonstrable experience of real competency in double entry bookkeeping and accounting principles is essential for this role. You must have excellent IT skills, in particular, advanced competency in MS Excel and effective application to accounting systems. Previous experience of SUN Systems would be desirable.

CDT’s Finance team are undergoing a period of change with an outsourcing relationship being replaced by a new in-house team so this gives the exciting opportunity of being part of the creation of a new team.
This is a full time role ideally working 37.5 hours per week. However, we will be flexible for the right candidate.
