This role offers huge variety including spotting new opportunities from potentially disruptive technologies, negotiating agreements, relationship building, influencing on a national and international arena, and as a member of the Senior Management Team, shaping the strategic direction of Cambridge Enterprise.
Our ideal candidate is a dynamic leader, with engaging communication skills. A physical science or engineering background and a broad interest in science and technology will underpin both knowledge and understanding of the University sector and experience in a commercial environment. Skills in business development and in commercialisation of technologies relying on disruptive intellectual property are key, as are analytical and creative thinking, clear evidence of successful completion of commercial transactions, and a desire to guide, mentor and influence colleagues.
