Product Manager - Accessories

Sepura Ltd are on the lookout for a forward-thinking, motivated and innovative Product Manager - Accessories to join the Product Strategy Group. A key position within PSG, the Product Manager will work within and collaborate with a team of other Product Managers to develop a roadmap of capabilities based upon market demand and product innovation that supports the needs of our customer base. This role will also support the wider Product Strategy Team with price book management, product mastering and product collateral generation. They will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Bid and R&D functions within the business to provide class-leading solutions for Sepura customers

Main duties:

  • Price book management and product mastering
  • Take overall responsibility for the success of your product, its fit with the market and the in-life ROI
  • Interact with internal and external customers to understand the market, recognise opportunities and risks, address operational needs, and drive feature design and engineering priorities
  • Contribute towards overall product strategy, evolving it based on research, data and industry trends
  • Assist in maintaining a product roadmap and vision
  • Gather and distil customer and market requirements for your product
  • Assess new and existing features through use research and data
  • Focus on key usage metrics and work with the team to continuously improve product performance
  • Write clear and understandable requirements for both internal and external customers
  • Inspire and inform a development team to create and enhance a fantastic product
  • Work with the Head of Products to maintain the short- mid- and long-term product strategy in line with the company product roadmap
  • Foster strong relationships with internal development teams to ensure a collaborative approach to achieving product goals
  • Contribute towards product strategy and vision, creating timelines and roadmaps for developing the product
  • Meeting regularly with all stakeholders, including product developers, marketing, customer service, finance etc.
  • Collect, analyse and respond to user feedback
  • Gathering and evaluate ideas and opinions
  • Plan new features and changes to a product
  • Demonstrate new ideas and features to stakeholders
  • Attending conferences and events related to your products

This job may involve some travelling so the successful applicant should have a full driving licence and be available for international travel when required

This role requires the candidate to be able to obtain UK Security Clearance


  • Strong educational background, ideally a degree in an engineering discipline or associated technologies
  • 3+ years' experience in product management or equivalent role
  • Evidence of strong numeracy and writing skills



  • Experience in developing, launching and maintaining products in a telecoms/technology market
  • Proven ability to drive products in complex environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to think laterally and to devise successful strategies
  • Possess a positive communication style and excellent presentation skills, with the ability to influence across cultures, colleagues, cross-functional teams, senior managers and customers
  • Strong technical awareness and exposure to key technologies, with specific strengths in usability, ruggedness, materials, audio and environmental standards
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language, particularly the ability to articulate complex concepts


  • Experience of working with mission critical communications, especially public safety, transportation or industrial 
  • Experience with TETRA or LTE based products
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX, Agile, JIRA
