Assistant Project Manager
Are you looking for your next Transport challenge? The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) are searching for enthusiastic Assistant Project Managers to join the team and play a key part in the development of high profile, innovative, multi-million pound transport projects.
As part of the GCP Transport team, you will be instrumental in organising and assisting in the delivery of major transport schemes to ensure our transport projects meet the needs of the public now and in the future.
Your experience of prior Infrastructure Project Management will be invaluable. Knowledgeable in Project management processes and the specialist processes used, you will have excellent Project Management skills and be able to support Project Managers to deliver key transport schemes for Greater Cambridge.
You will need to have a flexible approach as occasional evening and weekend work will be needed. Whilst the team is currently working virtually, in the future, there may be a need to be able to travel to attend meetings and events.
You will have the opportunity to work across exciting and diverse transport projects from off-road foot and cycle ways to improving public transport journeys.
The Greater Cambridge Partnership is a partnership between Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridge City Council, South Cambridgeshire District Council, and Cambridge University tasked with delivering the improvements needed to support sustainable economic growth across Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire: creating an efficient transport network that can accommodate more journeys, accelerating the supply and affordability of new homes and ensuring local employers can access workers with the relevant skills.
